You may begin in the early hours of morning, or just before sunset—those times when the air is clearer and the wind is calmer. Tour packages generally include a pre-flight lesson, the balloon ride, and post-ride celebration to commemorate the trip. Children under 18 may require a parent to fly with them; expectant mothers and people in poor health may not be able to take the trip. Baskets can accommodate anywhere from two to fourteen people. Comfortable, casual, seasonal clothing is recommended as the temperature will be similar to that on the ground. Plan to allow 3-4 hours for the whole experience. If flights are cancelled due to weather, they can usually be rescheduled or a refund provided.
